The Intake Meeting

 To accommodate the learning needs of the student, an intake meeting is scheduled so that the parent and tutor can develop a tutoring plan that is tailor made to suit the student's individual needs. This is a 50-minute planning period to look at progress reports, teacher notes, school assessments or Individual Education Plans.

It does not matter if it’s an Initial Eligibility Review, Re-Eligibility, or just a regular IEP meeting, Teachers As Tutors has the experience to help you navigate the special education process for your child. It's confusing with all the acronyms you hear from your child’s school, and many times the school will want you to make choices best for them and not for your child. TUTORING IN YOUR HOME OR ONLINE 

Teachers As Tutors provides two tutoring options. Option 1: We come to you at home, removing the need for you to drive your child somewhere else. Allow us to combat the congested highways in the Atlanta Metro region for you! Option 2: Online tutoring. We provide online instruction for children in grades 4 and up. We use Zoom, which includes whiteboards and the "Share" feature, which allows your child and his or her tutor to share worksheets or even your child's school's online classroom.

Homeschool Parents


Would you be interested in having a certified teacher assist you with the more challenging subjects in homeschooling? A certified teacher can offer personalized tailored to homeschooling curriculum, provide guidance on lesson planning and educational resources, assess student programs through tests and assignments, and offer feedback to both parents and students to ensure academic success. Additionally, they could offer specialized expertise in subjects where parents could lack confidence and proficiency.
