Before tutoring begins a meeting will be set-up between the tutor and parent(s) to discuss how tutoring will be approached. In this way the tutor will learn more about the student, hear the parent’s concerns, and answer any questions they may have. At this time, it will be decided if the tutor will develop individualized lessons for each tutoring session, help with homework, and/or help with IEP Goals and Objectives. Further, content areas will be discussed. Also at the Intake, future tutoring sessions will be scheduled. The cost for this 50-minute meeting is $70.00.
Parents should bring a copy of their child’s progress reports, work samples, test scores, IEPs, as well as Eligibilities or Psychological Reports. This will help the tutor develop an individualized tutoring plan for your child.
