Welcome Laurie Donnell!





Laurie graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Social Science Education. She also earned her Master of Education from Georgia Southern University in Instructional Technology and her Specialist in Education from Thomas University in Teacher Leadership. She also has several graduate level credits in mathematics.








Laurie is certified in middle and high school math and history. She is also certified in K-12 in special education and physical education. She currently works as a collaborative teacher in high school math. She delivers specialized instruction to students with disabilities including several with ADHD and those who are on the Autism spectrum. She has 4 children: 3 with ADHD and 1 who is on the spectrum as well. In addition, she has been diagnosed with ADHD herself.


She has been teaching in public schools since 1998, mostly in high school social studies and math classes, and she has 7 years of experience with writing IEP's for students with disabilities. Her experience with students who struggle has helped her become more understanding to the needs of her students. She lives on a small farm in Milner, GA with her husband and 2 of her children.
