THE ORTON-GILLINGHAM APPROACH
The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a multisensory, structured, sequential, and diagnostic way to teach literacy in reading, writing, and spelling. This approach is associated with one-on-one teacher-student instructional mode. Further, it's always focused upon the learning of the individual student. Orton-Gillingham Practitioners design lessons and materials to work with students at the level they present by pacing instruction and introduction of new materials to their individual strengths and weaknesses.
